  SAMMEC (Application) SAMMEC is an online application developed by the US Centers for Disease Control (CDC) that allows you to estimate the health and health-related economic consequences of smoking to adults and infants. Adult SAMMEC calculates annual smoking-attributable deaths, years of potential life lost, medical expenditures, and productivity costs for adults in the United States, individual states, and user-defined populations. Maternal and Child Health (MCH) SAMMEC estimates the number of annual smoking-attributable deaths and years of potential life lost for infants in the United States, individual states, and neonatal medical expenditures for certain user-defined populations.
European Tobacco Control Country Profiles 2000 (Database) This website provides tobacco control information, including patterns and health impact of tobacco use, economics of tobacco, national tobacco control provisions, and organizations involved in tobacco control for European countries in 2000.
