Tobacco Control Country Profiles 2003 (Fact Sheets)
This second edition of Tobacco Control Country Profiles (the Profiles) provides updated information on tobacco production, trade, consumption, legislation, and disease burden for each of 196 countries and territories worldwide. Collectively these country profiles present a composite picture of the status of the tobacco pandemic in the early 21st century. The Profiles were jointly published by the American Cancer Society, World Health Organization, and International Union Against Cancer.

Tobacco Free * Japan (Database)
The Japanese epidemiologic findings reviewed in the Tobacco Free * Japan report are included in this database system. Users can freely search the database as well as create figures and tables using the system. This database system was developed in 1994 by Dr. Samet, co-editor of this report, in collaboration with the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to prepare for testimony in a lawsuit against tobacco companies for the State of Minnesota. It was further developed and used in the 2004 Surgeon General ' s Report on Active Smoking and Health.
