National Clearinghouse on Tobacco and Health (Database)
A large database of tobacco control literature managed by the Canadian Council for Tobacco Control. Includes reports, books, articles and other items chosen for their relevance to tobacco control. Allows users to search and sort results by keyword, title, author, organisation, source, and publication dates.
Directory of Public Use Data on Tobacco Use in Canada (Database)
This directory has been prepared to help researchers and students locate data on smoking and tobacco use by providing a comprehensive list of public use survey data.
Detailed information on the surveys listed in this directory has been presented in the following manner:
- the location of the data set
- a brief description of the survey
- a bibliography of reports/publications associated with the survey or data
- any technical information of the survey such as the sample size
- any costs to obtain the data and/or reports
- the name, addresses and numbers of a contact person(s) or department and
- any restrictions on use of the data (such as licensing agreements)
Tobacco FactFile (Database)
The FactFile database contains facts about tobacco use and control with the original reference, which can be printed or downloaded into a citation manager such as Reference Manager or ProCite. The database is also available in Spanish, German and French. Browse or search the online database for information on health, economics, and policy. Find data and statistics on your country, or across a region. Register to receive facts by e-mail, or download facts and sources to a citation database.
The facts contained in this database come predominantly from peer reviewed journals, scientific publications and monographs and from governemntal reports.
